Beginnings

Okay, so bare with me as I take on this new adventure of blogging. I've been journaling for years (since I was like, 7) so I'm guessing this should be relatively easy for me. Since I love journaling, I thought the next step to be more creative would be Scrapbooking. Easy right?  HA, no. There is so much out there. And so much designed around being a mom, having kids, a family, traveling.

So what do you scrapbook if you don't have kids? you're not a mom? you don't travel much?  Well... LIFE. And for me, its about those little moments, the everyday things that I don't want to forget.

If you're anything like me, a trip to a local craft store or scrapbook store easily becomes overwhelming. I can walk in, looking for a single sheet to make a card with, and walk out with 15 different papers to do WHAT??? with?  Who knows, they were pretty and I couldn't leave without them.

I needed to focus my buying. Thanks to my sister and sister in law who are both avid scrappers, I decided, along with them to become a Close to My Heart consultant. The benefit:  I love CTMH products, quality, variety and business ethics. I can focus my attention and love for scrapbooking to one product line. Although I do use some other products, I don't get as overwhelmed.  A Bonus: a yearly girls trip to CTMH convention.

Gearing up for the rest of 2013 and the year of turning 40...I'm excited. I want this year to be magical, productive and memorable. Last year seems like it went by in a flash and yet, I can think of small things that I wish I would have captured. This year, I will!
